New Partnership between Dunbia and Myerscough College

We are delighted to announce a new partnership between Dunbia and Myerscough College. Aligning with Dunbia’s Plan Four Zero and Myerscough’s sustainability strategies, the ‘Beef Insights Hub’ will provide a platform to inform industry stakeholders and future farmers through the measurement and analysis of production and environmental data.

This will delve into several topics ranging from grazing management, animal genetics and carbon emissions to water, soils and biodiversity.
Through a rolling programme of work beginning in 2026, the partners plan to quantify differences in animal performance, initially by introducing alternative grazing techniques and assessing the genetic performance of dairy-beef animals from Myerscough’s Lodge Farm dairy herd. Environmental impacts will also be taken into consideration looking at changes in water, soil and biodiversity quality following the introduction of herbal leys versus traditional permanent pasture.

It is hoped the partnership will continue to strengthen links between Dunbia and Myerscough by creating new learning opportunities within the red meat supply chain and showcasing career pathways to agriculture students. By combining the reach of the Myerscough Farmer Network and the Dunbia Agriculture Team, data insights will be shared through the #FarmGreen platform via social media, webinars and in-person events at Myerscough, which is based near Preston, Lancashire.
